Kaspersky Lab Cements Leadership Position in Iran

New VAD Partner Appointed To Meet Growing Demand

With 60 per cent of the Iranian market share, Kaspersky Lab’s market leadership will be strengthened soon as the company plans to invest in establishing physical local presence with the appointment of a country manager and the opening of an office.

“We are really looking to invest more in Iran because it is a promising market with many growth opportunities for Kaspersky Lab. Iran is considered the third largest Middle East country for us in terms of revenue and our planned investments in the country are designed to consolidate our leadership position,” said Tarek Kuzbari, Middle East Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions

“Our growth plan also secures the interest of all of our partners in Iran, old and new. We feel this is extremely important as we are 100 per cent channel driven company and we rely on all of them. In the region we have around 24 direct partners but our fast growth means that we need to expand our network of distributors, enterprise partners and resellers to meet growing demand for our product offering.”

In a move designed to strengthen B2B and consumer customer support level for Kaspersky Lab’s solutions in Iran, the company has appointed Tehran-based I.T. services provider Tejarate Amn as a Value Added Distributor (VAD).

Set up a year ago with a mission to focus on the emerging West Asian markets of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Tejarate Amn is a subsidiary of UAE-based Comguard FZ LLC and it will provide Kaspersky Lab customers with IT security distribution services, training and technical support.

“Our key priorities include training customers as well as second level support and training for partners,” said Mohammad Mobasseri, Managing Director, Comguard. “We are also finalizing plans to launch online support for the entire West Asia region to complement a robust workshop schedule for partners about updates and new products.”
